CommuniLink hosts community web sites and brings you in direct contact with the ethnic communities of New South Wales. CommuniLink informs you of what is happening in the community across the state and gives you an opportunity to participate in discussions of issues that are important to our community. Through CommuniLink, communities and the NSW Government are able to work closer than ever towards strengthening our multicultural society.

Become a MediaLink Reporter


The CRC seeks reporters to provide English reports on articles published in ethnic print media. Reporters will report on Turkish, Serbian, Greek, Italian and Korean publications via the internet.

Reporters based outside NSW are welcome to apply.


Selection Criteria:

  • Excellent English writing skills
  • Excellent language skills
  • Background or demonstrated interest in journalism
  • Demonstrated interest in current affairs
  • Computer literacy
  • Access to the internet

2008 Volunteer Award Winners

The Chair of the Community Relations Commission For a multicultural NSW, Stepan Kerkyasharian, today hailed the winners of the 2008 CRC Awards for Volunteering as great Australians.

He was speaking at the presentation of the annual awards in Parliament House, Sydney.

Volunteers are at the heart of everything in our society. The NSW State Plan recognises the important link between community harmony and volunteering and has, therefore, placed great importance on increased participation by members of immigrant communities in public life.
